Already in 1960 a group of activists merged to develop their knowledge and practical skills in metal art sectors. Collective action is primarily based on Latvian folk art traditional cultural heritage of the acquisition archaeological and ethnographic exploration of metal materials and research. As its main task to maintain the studio considered folk art residual values and find a relationship with today's art novelties (or innovation).
